I’ve recently added some new items into my working makeup kit. I get asked daily what is the best for this or that with makeup. These are my go to “MUST HAVES” for my makeup kit this summer.
My new favorite brushes are Morphe Brushes. Hautelook was having a major sale on them and I had to give them a whirl. They truly are great quality.
Long’s Drug Store stopped selling my go to lashes Kiss individuals so I have found a new favorite in lashes. Ardell Wispies make me super happy:)))
Here is a look at the natural comfortable lashes on my beautiful bride from 7/11/15, Paula.
Stay Fresh and COOL this summer gang!!!
We were so honored to be apart of Robin and Eric’s big day on December 28th at Dillingham Ranch on the North Shore of Oahu. These two are madly in love and not afraid to scream it from the roof tops!
When I met Robin for her trial back in August her hair was just below her ears. She wanted a messy side bun. She was worried her hair wasn’t long enough to achieve the style she had always dreamed of for her wedding day. With a tight curl, volume powder and a super hold hairspray, I made her dream come true.
For her makeup she wanted a maroon-purple clean look on her eyes with a pinky-coral lip.
Here is the video and some photo’s from the wedding on December 28th.
Fans and future fans of Whik’d Hair and Makeup Hawaii love seeing what we do everyday. We do get called “Magicians” all the time! We truly love bringing out the best in every person we touch. Today I spent the mid afternoon with Ivy. Ivy and her husband flew to Hawaii from cold and windy Chicago to do a photo shoot on the beach with there wedding attire. Here are a couple candids I took of Ivy with my iPhone. Ivy LOVED IT! Makeup: She wanted flawless skin with a dramatic pop on her eye. I used O1 on her airbrush foundation all over the skin for a perfect cover. Hair: We went with a side swept bang with a full curly bun in the back.
The photo shoot is going to be on the beach so I had to use super hard spray on her bangs to keep them out of her face. I provided a touch up kit for her as well. Extra bobby pins, lip gloss and blotting papers.
Ivy chose Dave Miyamoto as her photographer today. I have worked with Dave Miyamoto for many years. Our first collaboration was for a fun photo shoot to promote his wedding business and to use the photo’s for stock, advertising and publications. Here are a couple of the pictures.
No matter what time of year you come to Hawaii it will be HOT! The best hairstyle to beat the heat is taking your hair up. An up-do doesn’t have to be tight to the head or pageant like. Each hairstyle is a one of a kind style to fit who you are and what the day brings.
Here are a few pictures of custom styles that we have done on our beautiful clients.
